I have the honour to state that I am a student of your college/school in class xi. I could not attend the class from the 15th to 19th of this month because I was bed ridden being attacked with influenza, Now, I have recovered and I hope I will be able to attend the classes regularly.

I, therefore, request the favour of your kindness to grant me leave of absence for those days only.
